How do I know if the juice may have melted before I get it?

Evergreen does everything possible to maintain the quality of the juice, but it does pass through several hands before it gets to you. The trays of juice are frozen upside down, so that the frozen cube is touching the lidding. If the juice melted somewhere in transit, the cube would fall into the bottom of the tray, so it makes it easy to tell if there was any melting. Note that sometimes, there may be a bit of brown on the lidding, from where the plastic lidding was sealed to the tray and briefly activated the enzymes. It’s just like a slight bruise on a banana which activated the enzymes.

Some store freezers have a defrost mechanism on the bottom that heats up. We strongly advise that stores do not place it on the bottom of the freezer. If you think you have received a box that has melted, please return it to the store for refund.
