Isn't fresh the best?

There are two difficulties with fresh indoor grown grass. Many who use this grass do not realize that it has not reached its full nutritional potential. Indoor grass grows quickly in 7 - 10 days in warm conditions. The plant has a relatively high level of simple sugars. These sugars have not been converted into complex carbohydrates, vitamins, enzymes, and proteins. This explains the quick burst of energy that users sometimes experience right after drinking the juice.

The headaches and nausea that often come after drinking this 'fresh juice' is not the body detoxifying, but a reaction to mold on the trays. Some of the seed doesn't germinate and rots - causing mold. The roots of the good plants absorb that mold and consequently can cause these reactions (and often bitter aftertaste).

After extensive research and experimentation, the optimum wheatgrass was produced by growing it outdoors in its natural climate. Evergreen's wheatgrass grown outside is superior in it's nutritional content and does not have the mold problem.
