Green Cell Foam is a unique natural, environmentally friendly packaging material. Green Cell Foam matches the performance of petroleum based foams and yet is an eco-conscious, biodegradable alternative made from cornstarch.
Manufacturing Green Cell Foam requires 70% less energy and produces 80% less greenhouse gases than petroleum based foams. It is also backyard compostable, biodegradable and water soluble (ASTM D6400 and BPI certified). The primary raw material is U.S. grown, non-GMO cornstarch, an annually renewable resource.
dissolve, compost, burn
To dispose, tear the film and remove the Green Cell Foam panels. Recycle the film with other #4 plastics. Place the Green Cell Foam panels in any compost pile, yard waste container or dissolve them in a sink or bucket of water.
Green Cell Foam dissolves in water— put small pieces in the sink and watch it "melt" safely down the drain; it even biodegrades in seawater and freshwater!
Green Cell Foam is compostable in any residential or commercial compost facility. Our compostable packaging will biodegrade in 60 days or less when in a moist soil environment.
Green Cell Foam burns cleanly and safely in fireplaces, firepits and power plants— works great to start your barbecue!
